CaseReader™

CaseReader™ is an all software solution that advances how radiology image data is organized, managed, analyzed and reported. It is comprised of three core technologies: the Patient Information Portal (PIP) and the Active Report (AR) available in v1.1 now, and the Anatomy Image Dashboard (AID) available in v2.0 which is scheduled to be released in early 2012.

CaseReader ™ improves diagnostic confidence by reducing errors in the diagnostic report while increasing efficiencies as turnaround times for diagnostic reports are drastically reduced. CaseReader™ sits on the PACS server or in the cloud where it is integrated with the diagnostic images and accessed in real time as the radiologist selects a study from the queue. CaseReader™ is integrated with M*Modal Speech Understanding™ technology resulting in a platform that fully integrates the 2D viewer, the speech recognition software and the report generation process.

Patient Information Portal (PIP) – is a powerful tool that attacks inefficiencies in the clinical radiology workflow allowing more time per case to be focused on the patient, the imaging data and the diagnostic report. PIP aggregates patient information from decentralized sources (RIS, HIS, PACS and other information sources) in a seamless and organized way making it available to the radiologist when commencing to read the study. In addition the PIP provides referring physician contact info, digitized copy of any intake reports, details on how the procedure was conducted, dose amount and active links to prior studies, etc.

Active Report (AR)– is an automated, structured and customizable diagnostic report that maximizes reimbursement levels through the use of observation templates that are tied to ICD/CPT codes. This insures that all required anatomy specific impressions are completed and properly notated in the report. DPR’s proprietary technology enables key images with “smart links” to be embedded into the report during the study which take the user back to the image location in the study for quicker response time to answer questions. These images and measurements go directly into the report ensuring that results are clearly communicated to referring physicians and patients. The final report is completed, reviewed, approved, and dispatched immediately following completion of the study via traditional channels or via e-media tablets or smartphones.

Benefits of CaseReader

  • Simple, intuitive interface with voice navigation and dictation that is integrated with the viewing application and reporting process
  • Key Measurements and images identified during the study are automatically captured in the report
  • Radiologist productivity & efficiency improves:
    • Drastically reduced report turnaround times
    • Reduction in errors in diagnostic report
  • Referring physician satisfaction rate soars as reports are customized to their specifications
    • Easy to understand embedded images in the final report
    • Structured data populated into EMR for easier data mining and extraction
  • Reimbursements are maximized via a report that is complete and error free
  • Assists with Meaningful Use Guidelines by creating a textual
  • Assists with Meaningful Use Guidelines by creating a textual and image based elements

Anatomy Imaging Dashboard (AID) – DPR’s unique process for creating an electronic mapping of the anatomical elements referenceable to humans and computers to provide radiologists with a 3D volumetric image linked in real time to the 2D slice – within the current workflow. The radiologist can manipulate the 3D image displaying it in all 3 planes of freedom, thereby demonstrating any region of interest of concern – optimally and rapidly. Normal and abnormal structures can be measured with software tools that provide linear, area and accurate volumetric quantization previously not available. These measurements appear instantly in the report text. (Available with v2.0 in early 2012)
